Where Do You Think You're Goin?

Even though they are the competition, State Farm has a great commercial with a kid that grabs his leather jacket and a set of keys, and tells his father that he is going to work. Google it, youtube it, whatever, but it is worth a look.

In a similar fashion, I was leaving for work the other day and Joey became obsessed with my Swimmy, Swammy, Samsonite Briefcase. So, we let him check it out.

Classic!

What the heck is a Papasan

I'm still not sure.

We've all watch Joey grow over the past 8 months. At this point, he still has a chance. This weekend, as a rite of passage, I put his swing away in the garage at Wyncliffe Heights. The swing served its purpose and was a safe haven for naps for many months.

Thank you Swing.

We Have To Go Back Already?

Yup, back to Daddy Day Care.

I stayed home again and spent the day with my son. I lost some days last year and my company does not pay me for them. It is not good to take off at the end of the year. The bottom line is that you may see more Daddy Day Care down the road.

Just as last time, let's take a look at how the day went down:

One of Joey's favorite things is to rollover when he is getting changed. Here he is in the morning not cooperating.

If he doesn't want to cooperate, I usually let him do whatever he wants. While I do not like Adam Sandler, think of him in Big Daddy when he lets Frankenstein do whatever he wants. Here's our little Frankenstein eating breakfast without his clothes buttoned again.

Time to play. Batter Up!

He's almost there:

After play time he took a nice nap but I didn't get any pictures this time.

Lunch was really good. Joey ate all of his green beans. DEEEE Licious. Alright bud, time to clean up like a good boy.

After lunch, Joey went to the bathroom again but this time there was no tylenol involved. There are no funny pictures either.

Next, it was time to listen to the A-Rod press conference. This steriod thing has been bothering me. The most interesting thing is that the only person that appears to be telling the whole truth is Jose Canseco. If the list is revealed, I hope Griffey is not a part of it. Here is a pic of Joey taking in the event.

Just like last time, it was 5:03 and Mommy walked in. So much for me being vein, but here is another picture of me defeated and in the evil cluthes of our Young Frankenstein.

Happy valentiMe's 8 Month Slam Dunk Contest

I love it when people say Valentime's with an M.

February 14th was crazy at Wyncliffe Heights. On the same day, Joey experienced his first Valentime's Day, turned 8 months old, and watched his first dunk contest.

Joey turned out to be a great Valentine and a true romantic. He picked out a nice pair of earrings for his Mommy. Let's face it though, most girlfriends are trouble. He did, however, get a very nice card from Madison DeLuca. She is one of the many girls knockin down our green door already. Since most girlfriends are trouble, I tell him all of the time that he should move to Vegas, attend live UFC events, and mac on chicks (and invite Daddy and Uncle Ron).

8 months have gone by and Joey is just about ready to crawl. Good luck Mom Moms. These have been the greatest 8 months of my life. He is such a pleasure and we are truly blessed.

Joey's first dunk contest was mediocre at best. Dwight Howard should have won. The days of Jordan, Nique, and Vince Carter are long gone. However, King James did state that he wants to enter the contest next year. Should be interesting. Let me know if you need to borrow a pair of sneakers.

Please enjoy the pics and have fun commenting on paragraph 3. Happy Valentime's 8 month dunk contest everybody!

502

Extra Bonus Points if you can guess what the title means.

We've had some snow this year, but nothing really good for Joey to play in. Lucas may have been able to make a snowman but Joey is not ready for that yet.

We wanted to make sure that he had some time in the snow so we took him outside last week. Here is some shots of the fun. By the way, please excuse the forclosure sign on the house in the background!

Daddy Day Care

Last Week, I took the day off to spend with Joey. I took pictures, a journal or diary if you will, so I could share with you all of the fun that Joey had at Daddy Day Care.

This is an awesome opportunity to thank Aunt Peggy (Tues), Mom Mom Marie (Thurs), and Mom Mom Linda (Fri). When Nicole goes to work, these wonderful people watch and take care of Joey. Nicole and I are extremely grateful and appreciate everything that you do for us and Joey. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you very much.

So here are the pictures and stories from our special day:

Joey's breakfast nowadays is pretty impressive, at least by baby standards. In fact, I'm a little jealous because if I had a three course breakfast, it would consist of Belguim Waffles and bacon, an impressive piece of crumb cake, some honeydew, and a mean cup of black coffee to rinse it all down. Check out Joey with his breakfast. Don't tell Nicole, but he didn't eat that much.

After breakfast, we played with some toys. While my vote was for a quick game of NHL, Joey wanted to play with the hammer from his arcade toy. Yes folks, an arcade toy for 6M+.

His morning nap was great. PSYCH!

After his nap, it started to snow. If you look close enough, you can see the flakes.

Lunch Time! Again, if it was my choice, we would have packed up and went to Five Guys. After Five Guys, we could have fit in a round of golf at Putt Putt Golf and Games. Is the Bazaar still open? Instead, Joey chose formula and sweet potatoes. He seemed to like it. Don't tell Nicole, but he didn't finish again.

This is by far the best story of the day. After lunch, Joey's belly was full so he decided to take a dump (I will not say Potty). While changing him, he stuck his hand in the sh...aving cream. I tried to clean his hands as fast as I could. With semi clean hands, he decided to eat his binky and his hands. Because I was nervous about him digesting some poop, I gave him Tylenol. After the Tylenol, I gave him a bath to clean up the rest of the mess. After his bath, he wouldn't let me button his outfit. SMILE!

After the diaper debacle, it was definitly time for another nap. Look how peaceful!

By the time he woke up, more snow was on the ground. Check out the snow bud!

Before we knew it, the door opened and Mommy was home. She was proud of me and glad that Joey was still in one piece (his outfit was still unbuttoned though). I had such an awesome day and look forward to many more of these fun filled days with Joey at Daddy Day Care. How does my hair look?

Super Bowl Sunday

Joey enjoyed his first Super Bowl and joined in on many of the festivities that we associate with the event. He played football, drank, watched the game, and gambled. I am teaching Joey at a young age that it is okay to have fun. He also understands the importance of learning. Look how well he writes his name!
